"Put Dianna Krall, Holly Cole, and k.d. Lang in a blender and you'll have an idea what Susie Ariole sounds like. Put Susie on stage at the Montreal Jazz Festival with 4 talented musicians who collectively add their subtle "voices" to Susie's and together they produce a superb result and all five are equally entitled to share the spotlight. This performance has a good mix of vocals and instrumentals and the blues guitar playing of Jordan Officer is truly fantastic. His "guitar talk" segment in the DVD extras put me in awe and made me want to take up guitar playing myself (but I know THAT'S not going to happen). If you enjoy contemporary jazz, blues, country or swing I have no doubt you will enjoy this DVD and the included CD. The 5.1 Dolby Surround doesn't just put you there at the concert, it brings a terrific live lounge act right into your living room. This is without a doubt one of my best purchases in a very long time. I would definitely like to buy more of Suzie's albums but find most have many repeats of the content in this DVD so, if you are going to by any, buy this one. I'm looking forward to new material."
