For this CD, pianist Oliver Jones teams up with bassist Steve Wallace and drummer Ed Thigpen for a slightly more modern program than usual. Influenced by Oscar Peterson but having his own sound within O.P.'s  style, Jones performs numbers by Kenny Wheeler, Bill Evans ("Very Early"), Nelson Symonds, Peterson ("Hymn to Freedom") and Thigpen,  along with four of his own tunes.
